Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Samba J&K is 0.5 Km interior to National Highway NH-1-A. It is in Army Cantonment area. It is in the midst of lush green environment providing a tranquil and conducive atmosphere for study. Vidyalaya was established on 17th July 1979 in Defence Sector with 2 section each from classes I-V . Since then Vidyalaya has progressed continuously in almost all fields of education. The school has been running in temporary building since its inception. The land transfer case is in progress. Vidyalaya has two sections from Classes I to XII with Science & Humanities stream in class XI & XII. School is affialiated to CBSE under Affialiation No :700007
